Born Jason Joseph Barker in Middletown, Ohio; grew up in Alvin, Texas just outside of Houston. Got into theatre at the age of 11 taking theatre arts classes in Junior High and doing Summer Children's Theatre at the local community college. Cast in first major role as Claudius in an abridged version of Hamlet in the 8th grade. Continued with theatre and acting through out high school and college playing such roles as Oberon in a Midsummer Night's Dream and Lloyd Dallas in Noises Off! Earned a B.F.A. in Theatre with an emphasis in acting from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. After graduation, lived, worked, and acted in Houston and Austin taking private classes, doing student and independent films, and doing extra work on several feature films including The Return and Infamous.

Relocated to New York in September 2005 and joined The Actor's Project NYC, shortly thereafter participating in industry showcases and one-act plays presented at the Abingdon's June Havoc Theatre. Also began working with Winceyco Productions taking educational programs dealing with such material as African American history and women's rights to local schools in New York and New Jersey. Has done background a couple of times on Guiding Light and One Life to Live, acted in the ensemble of The Best Party Ever at the Richmond Shepard Theatre, and appeared in Naked Holidays NYC with Endtimes Productions.

Recently became a proud member of AFTRA. Currently waiting tables, ushering Broadway shows, taking classes, and looking for representation.
